Moon Astronaut Studio was born from the collaboration of Kate Fenton, Molly Flood & Dana Puddicombe when they met doing the Sketch & Improv Conservatory at The Second City Training Centre in Toronto, ON.

Kate Fenton

Kate Fenton is an award winning actor, writer and director who began her career as part of the inaugural Humber College Comedy Program. After graduating she was nominated for a Phil Hartman Award. Kate holds an MFA in acting from York University, and has trained at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, Second City and The ProActors Lab.

She is the co-founder and former Artistic Director of the Dora Mavor Moore Award winning company The Quickening Theatre. Kate’s work has been presented at The Toronto International Film Festival, Theatre Passe Muraille, Young People’s Theatre, The Vancouver East Cultural Centre.

Recent credits include: (Reign, Mommy’s Little Girl, Let Her Out. Upcoming: Larry produced by Amblin.

She performs Improv and Sketch at Second City, Baddog Theatre, Social Capital Theatre and Comedy Bar.

dana puddicombe

Dana Puddicombe is originally from Newfoundland and she holds a BFA from Memorial University where she was the recipient of the Tommy Sexton Memorial Scholarship.

Credits include Hudson & Rex, Baroness Von Sketch, The Handmaid’s Tale, Murdoch Mysteries, Republic of Doyle & BJ Fletcher: Private Eye (Television); Olga in Three Sisters (Wolf Manor), Chasse Galerie (Dora Winner, Best Independent Ensemble) & originating roles in The Ravine, Parents Night & The Bigger Issue, all by George F. Walker (Theatre); The Diddlin’ Bibbles Live in Concert (2017 Toronto Fringe Patrons Pick, 2018 Toronto Sketchfest), Assistant Directing Birthday Balloon (Next Stage) and recently directed her first Short Sketch Film under the ACTRA Co-Op Agreement. (Directing).

A Graduate of The Second City Sketch & Longform Improv Conservatories, she improvises with a bunch of funny people around town (Grim Diesel, Abra Cadaver, Foxtrap!) and was a nominee for the Tim Sims Encouragement Award for 2018.

molly flood

Molly Flood is an award winning actor, director and musician born in Coquitlam, raised in Edmonton and now lives in Toronto.

A graduate of the University of Alberta’s BFA Acting Conservatory and The Second City Conservatory program, she spent ten years playing in bands and working in theatre across Canada before cutting her first film, Shy Vampire, on 16mm at Ryerson’s Chang School of Continuing Education.

Recipient of the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Emerging Artist Scholarship, an associate artist with experimental collective It Could Still Happen and winner of the Toronto Actra Women’s Committee Toolkit 4.0 competition, Molly has directed music videos, commercials and short films.
